Dear Families,

I am so excited to teach Physical Education!  My desire is to help build confidence and encourage growth throughout the year! There will be a variety of stretching, skill development and team building exercises to enhance your children’s physical abilities. It is also an opportunity to share a variety of ways to stay healthy and active into adulthood.

I am a former college athlete, with a Bachelor’s of Art degree in Community Services from Saint Martin’s University. Since graduation, I have been working with at-risk, homeless and foster care families.  Additionally, I coach women’s golf at Centralia College and co-coach my son’s basketball team with my husband.

Two of my favorite verses are: John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believeth in him shall not perish but have eternal life” and Philippians “I can do all things through Crist who strengthens me.”

Two highlights in my golfing journey was being inducted into the Hall of Fame at Centralia College and the Hall of Honor at Saint Martin’s University. To God be the glory! Through sports, there are always character-building moments and it is my desire to help coach and mentor students through challenges they may face during my time teaching them.

God Bless,
Shaleene Moir

P.E. Expectations

Physical Education is an important aspect of the CCS education.  Each day your child/student has P.E., they will need to come ready to participate.  This means wearing clothes and shoes that will allow them to participate.  Grades 6-10 will need to come prepared with P.E. uniforms they can change into (i.e., black/blue shorts and a gray Centralia Christian P.E. t-shirt) while our lower grades will need to be able to move, play and learn in the attire they are already wearing.

Appropriate shoes are also required in the gym. No shoes will be allowed that leave black marks.
