Welcome to 1st Grade!

We are thrilled to announce that Anna Kesting, a CCS alum, will be stepping into the first grade teacher position after Mrs. Conrad retires at the end of this school year. Miss Kesting completed her student teaching with Mrs. Conrad and is looking forward to beginning the 2026-27 school year here at CCS!
Dear Parents,
I love teaching this exciting year in your child’s life. My goal is to let each child know Jesus dearly loves them and gives them eternal life in Him.
First grade is a busy year as your child grows from an emergent reader to a fluent reader. This comes from an intensive Phonics program and much practice. In Math, students move from basic number knowledge to a wide variety of math skills and concepts. The first grade student will be introduced to many new subjects and units of study throughout the year.
I will work hard to partner with you, the parents, to provide your child with the tools they need to prepare them for the journey on their road to success.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” (Mark 10:14)
Serving Jesus,
Mrs. Conrad
