8th grade

When did you start coming to Centralia Christian School?

I started coming to CCS in preschool, 9 years ago. Some of my teachers are still here, but I had Mrs. Nickerson in preschool, Mrs. Wilson in kindergarten, Mrs. Belveal in third grade and Mrs. Bryson in fifth grade.

What is your favorite thing about Centralia Christian School?

You get to have closer relationships with your teachers with the smaller class sizes. You have the same kids in classes, and you get to know the kids really well and develop friendships over the years.

What is your favorite memory?

I was trying to think of that today, and there are so many! A field trip we went on was the iConnect trip this year. We went river rafting through white water; I really liked that! I also liked watching my cousin get pulled into the water by our tour guide!

In what ways has Centralia Christian School helped you grow your faith?

It’s easier to have that relationship with God here, learn about Him and ask questions about faith. The daily Bible classes and memory verses help me understand God’s Word.  

If you had a new student come to your class, how would you reassure them about their transition to Centralia Christian School?

Our class is very open to new students. We are open to new people in general, and it’s easy to forge friendships with people we don’t yet know. We say, “Everyone is weird - get used to it!” and we get along well with each other.
